. . . This is
something new that I'm trying out. I've always wanted to
keep a journal and what better place than the web, right?
WARNING: I am a very flaky girl, so
I'll try to keep this updated as often as I can. ;-)
12-10-99 (1:40 am)
I haven't
written in my journal in over a month so I'm just going
to add December's entries to November's. My computer was
running really slow (slower than usual) so Ben and I had decided to
start fresh and just reload every little single thing
into the computer. Only the things that I need now that
he has his own computer. That's one of the reasons why I
hadn't updated my journal in so long, but I've got most
of what I need now. We've gotten the whole house cleaned...or
at least the most of it. Let's just say it is as done as
it's going to get for now. Right now, my main concern is
getting this baby out of me. I was due the 6th of this
month and the baby still hasn't come yet. I've been
drinking Raspberry Leaf Tea, but that doesn't seem to be
doing anything. I've been having really bad swelling in
my legs. Sometimes the swelling gets so bad, my calves,
my ankles and my feet all look the same size. It's really
freaky...it looks like one long sausage. My doctor said
that they don't usually try to induce labor until the
baby is over a week overdue, so that means that if I don't
have it this week, they'll probably induce me next week.
Meanwhile, this baby grows bigger and bigger. My uterus
measured 43cm at 40 weeks...that's 4cm more than the
previous week, but for the last 3 weeks, I've remained at
1cm dilated. The holidays have been pretty fun though. On
Thanksgiving, Ben and I went to my grandmother's first
and then to his grandmother's. The timing was perfect,
but we had to bum rides everywhere because the stupid car
wasn't working right again. Since then, Ben has bought
the manual to the car and he's actually fixed one of the
things that was wrong with it. Now we only have about 10
other things to fix in the car. After Thanksgiving, we
got our Christmas tree up, decorated it and all the
presents have been wrapped too. Now all we need is a baby.
11-5-99
Sleeping has
become major hell. For the last 3 nights, I've gotten
about an hour and a half sleep each. I don't know what it
is...I can't get comfortable? Ben and I have been
cleaning more of the house. We've got most of it done
except for just a couple more rooms. We've given a lot of
things away to Good Will and we've also thrown a lot of
things away to make room for the baby. It's getting
harder and harder doing all this cleaning, but I feel
more determined now that I have more time because I don't
have work anymore and the due date is getting closer...my
days are numbered. I've come across some really pasow
things while cleaning. I found a picture of Norman and Paul from when we were in high
school and I also found a picture of Ben
when we very first started dating. I have more pictures to
show, but for some stupid reason now the scanner isn't
working. It's really upsetting especially since we just
barely got our printer back from being fixed after a
whole month. Weird Thing.
