Being a DM fan . . .

I've been a DM fan ever since Junior High when People Are People came out. Hmmm...let's see, that was back in '85 I think. That's when I got my first DM album, Some Great Reward (I know People Are People came out first, but somehow I ended up with Some Great Reward instead). Ever since then, I've collected their earlier albums and the new ones as they came out.  I have lots of favourite bands, but DM has been my absolute favourite band ever since that first cassette. I also think that I was majorly influenced by a friend that I had in my high school years...thanks Jeff =).  All we ever talked about practically was Depeche Mode.  We'd have get-togethers at my best friend's house and listen to DM albums all night. Back then, I didn't have the money to buy lots of records so I would ask him to record the albums that I didn't have (I have all the albums now). Then, when I got my first car in college, I went with some of my best friends to our first DM concert, The Faith and Devotion Tour back in '94.  That one was at the Forum in L.A..  I wish I could have gone to previous DM concerts before that, but I didn't have the money and the transportation before. Things are different now...I have my own car and I don't live with my parents anymore...Hurray! DM here I come!

Grab all they can
Everything counts in large amounts"
