THANK YOU for your interest in VIRGIN BEACH RESORT. First let me tell you a little about ourselves. I was born in 1943 and graduated from San Francisco Hotel and Restaurant Management School in 1965. I Managed a restaurant for 8 years before farming in California's rich San Joaquin Valley for 18 years. After going through a divorce that ended a marriage of 25 years, I wrote to Fe Alarde of Bogo, Cebu and traveled to the Philippines in January of 1990 and we were married there in her hometown. We are happily married and have two children, Dodong RonRon and Inday Mandy who were born in Cebu. We now operate a travel agency and tour business, and offer tours to the Philippines.

After traveling to the Philippines several times, we found a 2 hectacre (4 1/2 acre) unspoiled (virgin) white sand beach property for sale. We purchased the property in 1992 and have been planning very carefully how to develop the resort. Construction began in 1993 and will be complete by the year 2000.

Bogo is the main market town on the Northern part of Cebu Island (the most peaceful beautiful island in the Philippines), just 100 kilometers (62 miles) from Cebu City on the National Hiway (fully paved). It is the center of over 100,000 people in the area. Malbago, Daan Bantayan is only 20 km. from Bogo (paved road also). There is a great deal of growth taking place in the area. A landing strip for private planes is being prepared and an 18 hole world class golf course is now open. New industry is coming to the area and foreign investors are looking at the Bogo area for a new industrial zone.

VIRGIN BEACH RESORT, because of its secluded nature, operates under the "American Plan" (daily rate with meals and drinks included).

VIRGIN BEACH RESORT features a small hotel (dormatory) with 6 private rooms and two shared bath for only P750 (approx. $15) per person per night and includes 3 meals and mineral water with each meal.  Our new hotel (main lodge) features 10 private rooms with private bath, air con, mini frig, tv/vcr.  We currently have 4 cottages and are adding more, swimming pool and covered basketball court.  Our beach includes volleyball court, club house, kioskos, tables and benches for day use.

VIRGIN BEACH RESORT offers individual attention to our guests. Food and drinks are plentiful. Swimming, snorkeling, fishing,   boating, volleyball, skating, karaoke and videoke are all included in the package price also. Scuba diving and island hopping are available nearby (Bogo and Logon) at modest prices. Side trips are available for a small fee to Bogo to visit the market, shop for native products, meet the people, disco or karaoke, special festivals, or special tours to the largest orchid nursery on the island, a native products factory, mango farm, sugar mill, Virgin Mary Shrine, or Colonial Churches.

The main feature of the VIRGIN BEACH RESORT, however are the periodic Beach Parites (Barrio Fiestas) that feature the Virgin Beach Resort Rondella, Singers, Dancers and Lechon Baboy (whole roast pig).  It is our desire to make your VIRGIN BEACH RESORT stay your most enjoyable beach resort experience ever.

GROUPS, LARGE AND SMALL, are welcome at VIRGIN BEACH. Day use or overnight, we have special rates available. We also offer to groups and individuals, a special Beach Party and Barrio Fiesta including transportation from Cebu City and lunch for as low as P500 per person. Soon we will have a large boat for Island Hopping available for individuals and groups.

TO GET TO VIRGIN BEACH: from Cebu City, go to the North Terminal for Buses. There is a bus every hour going to Daan Bantayan (via Bogo) -- an air condition bus about every 2 hours.
