There are two "Bashford House" landmarks preserved by historical
societies.
Info from Parry's Original Miniatures page:
The estimated cost of the project was a staggering $25,000 to be
acquired within three months. Every organization in town, without
exception, pooled their efforts and, in a unified push, the house
was moved to the museum site within the three months deadline.
Today the building is still undergoing restoration, most of the
money being raised locally.
Correspondence with the Prescott museum:
>Could you please provide me with some information on >the Wm Bashford mentioned in your web page? I wonder >if we are related? > >Thank you very much, >Wm Douglas Bashford William, We have some information on Basford Family Genealogy here at our library/archives. The Bashfords were kind of big shots in early Prescott. Anyway, if you would like, I could send you a copy of the Bashford Family genealogy that focuses on Prescott. It would be 5 photocopies, so that would cost $1. If you send the money to the address below and a quick note explaining what you want and send it to me in care of the Museum, I would be happy to send this material to you. I have not sent for that. It would be neat here. (hint!)
