The "Bashford Name" page will be born in May, 1996.

You can do about anything here if your name is Bashford, as long as it is friendly and respectful. I figure we are all family, so make a suggestion, and I will try and do it.
I can easily reduce/convert most huge picture formats into 15K JPGs or 50K GIFs of pretty good quality if you like, or even do some photo retouching.

Anyway, drop in and say hi, perhaps add a few comments, or tell us who your ancestors are, you may find family or friends, or they may find you, who knows?

To contribute to the more formal genealogy stuff, I am told that precise names and dates, places of births, deaths, and marriage info is wanted, but we'd be happy to get anything from you. If Bashfords here know more about genealogy, can you leave us a note? I know that time and death is a permanent eraser, so it's good to get the easy stuff recorded now.

To say hi, or to deposit family trees, pictures, and stuff, for now (until I learn more), drop me some e-mail, and I'll put it in. Be sure to tell me to post it, because it will look like ordinary e-mail to me, and I'll not know if you want it posted or not.

E-mailing pictures and other machine language.

For most Internet providers, you only need to attach the picture file to an email, and that's it. But this makes a few assumptions. No need to read any further, unless we run into a snag.
-- It assumes that your provider will encode the machine language into MIME or UUENCODE format. Almost all providers do this, and do it in the background so it's invisable to the users. (Email cannot handle machine language, it must be converted to standard keyboard characters.) (I use the Eudora off-line mail reader, MIME on)

-- So, just send me the attached file, if it doesn't work, we can probably find a way that will.

If this doesn't make any sense, ask your provider, they understand it and can give you system-specific info, and that's what you pay them for.

So? Does anybody have any suggestions?

Again, if you want something added, all you have to do is let me know.
