John Winn was born 1705. His baptism record is found in Christ Church records in Middlesex County, Virginia. He married Mary Pledger and they lived in Hanover County. Old family records (formerly in the possession of Dr. Millicent Goode of Mt. Vernon, Arkansas) show them to be the parents of Millicent Winn.

• Millicent Winn married Thomas Coleman in Caroline County, Virginia.

Court records confirming this relationship have not been found; all information taken from family records in 1941 by Carrie Tarleton Goldsborough and her daughter Anna Goldsborough Fisher.
