• Mary Anne Simpson born August 16, 1832 in Virginia and died March 7, 1865 in Keokuk Co., Iowa.
• Michael Sylvester Simpson born March 3, 1834 in Rockbridge, Virginia and died May we, 1896 in Atwood, Keokuk Co. Iowa.
• Susan Elizabeth Simpson born March 16, 1836 in Rockbridge, Virginia and died August 18, 1891 in Keokuk Co., Iowa.
• Thomas Simpson born in 1838 in Morgan County, WV and died December 15, 1862.
• Nicholas Simpson born March 18, 1841 in Hancock, Morgan Co., WV and died October 21, 1912 in Keokuk Co, Iowa.
• Olive Jane Simpson born July 14, 1844 in Darke County,Ohio and died March 27, 1917 in Keokuk County, Iowa.

William Henry Simpson, father is possibly John Simpson, died in 1863 in Keokuk County, Iowa. Mary A. Bechtel Simpson died May 11, 1888 in Delta, Keokuk Co., Iowa. Amy and Belle Simpson remained in Virginia when the family moved to Ohio in the 1840's. When the Simpson family moved from Ohio to Iowa in the 1850's, John Wesley stayed in Ohio. Mary Anne Simpson Reed, Michael Sylvester Simpson, Susan Elizabeth Simpson Garrett, Nicholas Simpson and Olive Jane Simpson Allsup are buried in the Garrett Cemetery between What Cheer and Sigourney in Keokuk County, Iowa.
