Robert Sutton

Robert Sutton was born in 1761 in Virginia to John Sutton, Sr. and Temperance Lane. He married Caroline Coleman in Caroline County, Virginia. To this union two daughters were born:

• Mary King (Polly) Sutton was born July 6, 1784 in Virginia and died in Randolph County, Missouri on March 23, 1877. She married Paul Christian on May 2, 1799 in Kentucky.
• Mildred Winn Sutton was born in 1790. Mildred married Samuel Scroggin.

Scott County tax records show Robert Sutton and his family living in Scott County in 1796. Robert Sutton died December 2, 1828 and his wife Caroline Coleman Sutton died September 17, 1827. Both Robert and Caroline died in Kentucky.
