Robert M. Sullivan was born July, 1855 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi to James D. Sullivan and Elenor (Ellen) Guinn? or Gurin?. He married Susie Lunsford September 27, 1886 in Parker County, Texas. Susie was a widow with twin daughters, Naomi and Leona Lunsford. Susie's maiden name is unknown. There were three children born to Robert and Susie.

• Mack Edward Sullivan born December 29, 1889 in Springtown, Wise County, Texas and died June 3, 1935 in Wheeler, Wheeler County, Texas.
• Lizzie Maud Sullivan born in 1890 and died in 1973.
• Vannie Sullivan born in 1894.

Susie Lunsford was Robert M. Sullivan's third wife. His first wife is unknown but there were two children born to that union.

• Abner (Abb) Sullivan born 1874 and died 1923
• Lonny Sullivan born 1877.

The second wife was Laura (maiden name unknown) and there were two children born to that union.

• Ona Austin Sullivan born in 1878 and died in 1969.
• Cora Belle Sullivan.

Susie Sullivan died May 11, 1896 in Parker County, Texas and Robert M. Sullivan died July 28, 1914. Susie is buried in the Springtown Cemetery in Springtown, Texas, as is Abb Sullivan. Other Sullivan relatives are buried in Springtown Cemetery are from North to South (inscriptions are in quotes):

• Small stone (6x10) inscribed "Baby Sullivan" is Ollie Belle Sullivan, daughter of Abb & Louisa Sewell Sullivan.
• "Ruthie Pearl" -- daughter of Abb & Louisa Sewell Sullivan.
• "Susie --wife of Robert M. Sullivan --A dear one from us is gone"
• Blank area ( empty lot?)
• Uninscribed Rock ----believed to be the grave of Robert M. Sullivan
• "Cora Belle" is daughter of Robert M. Sullivan and his second wife, Laura.
