C.E. Thompson

Charles Eton Thompson, son of James Logan Thompson and Mary Francis Duckworth, was born April 16, 1871 in Fayetteville, Lawrence County, Arkansas. He married Mary Elizabeth Thompson October 22,1891 in Jacksboro, Jack County, Texas in Fairview School. To this union eleven children were born:

• Lettie May Thompson born August 11, 1892 in Wise County, Texas and died November 6, 1943 in Mobeetie, Wheeler County, Texas. She married Jesse Swetnam December 27, 1908 in Texas.
• Mary Ellen Thompson born March 22, 1894 in Texas.
• Herschel Emanuel Thompson born September 5, 1895 in Texas and died September 26, 1970 in Riverdale, Fresno Co., California.
• Charles Herbert Thompson (aka Hub) born September 20, 1897 in Texas. He married Ola August 28, 1920 in Fargo, Texas
• Infant Thompson was stillborn in 1899 and is buried in Willows Point Cemetery in Wise Co. Texas.
• Hazel Elizabeth Thompson born August 19, 1900 in Texas.
• Bertha Gertrude Thompson born October 30, 1902 in Willows Point, Wise Co., Texas.
• Henry Logan Thompson born January 2, 1905 in Texas.
• Docia Ila Thompson born July 10, 1907 in Texas.
• Vera Bell Thompson born November 18, 1909 in Texas and died March 13, 1929 in Paducah, Texas.
• Opal Muriel Thompson born April 13, 1912 in Joplin, Jack Co.,Texas.

Charles Eton Thompson died in Chalk, Cottle County, Texas in August, 1942. Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) died November 13, 1954 in Elk City, Oklahoma while visiting a daughter. Charles and Lizzie are buried at the Paducah Cemetery in Paducah, Texas.
