START HERE

• Open CuteFTP.

The following steps correspond to the above image. From the list of folders on the left, select "Personal FTP Sites". Click the button labeled "Add site".

The following steps correspond to the above image. Under "Site Label" input whatever name you want to use to refer to this particular site for which you are about to enter the information. It does not matter what you type here. It is for your reference only. The images shown here assume that you are connecting to PSNW's FTP site. Under "Host Address" input the name of the FTP server that you want to connect to. If the site you are trying to connect to requires a username/password, just type in the FTP username where it says "User ID", enter your password where it says "Password" and check "Normal" below it. If the site that you are trying to connect to does NOT require a username/password, then it should be an anonymous FTP host. In this case, you would select "Anonymous" as the login type. "Auto-Detect" should be selected under "Transfer type". "Auto-Detect" should also be selected under "Host Type". If you know the path to the particular directory for which you want CuteFTP to automatically display the contents upon connection to a site, just enter the complete path to that directory under "Initial Remote Directory". Otherwise, you can leave it blank. "Remote Directory Filter" and "Local Directory Filter" can both be left blank. You can click the button to the right of where it says, "Initial Local Directory" to browse to and select the directory on your computer that you want CuteFTP to display when you are connected to a remote FTP site. Click on the "OK" button.

The following step corresponds to the above image. Highlight the site in the list on the right, then click on the button labeled "Connect".
