Honey Pot Press is a collection of child centered activities, learning games, and books, for practice in basic skills in math and language arts. It offers learning games for practice of basic skills through problem solving. practice and play. Language arts and math are combined to give young learners the needed practice and chance for application of their developing skills
Each learning game comes with detailed instructions for use in small group and whole class experiences. The author, Carol Gossett, shows teachers how to use their gameboards economically by giving suggestions for continued practice using the back-side of the boards.
The learning games are based on child-centered interests such as The Gingerbread Man, The Three Little Pigs, and an introduction of a new character; Sierra Bear. Children are introduced to and given the chance to practice and apply their new found information using learning games which include the following:
